The Salvation Army will also hold a series of events this spring
Come early May, The Salvation Army Suisun City Corps Community Center will have a welcome office set up in the old Hollywood Video space in the Heritage Shopping Center near Raleyβs supermarket.
Itβs the latest sign that things are moving forward with the $22 million Suisun City Kroc Center.

βWe're establishing a place where the community can get up to date information about how the center is progressing and up to date images of the planning and construction,β Salvation Army Capt. Jonathan Harvey said. "The excellent and amazing additions that we're adding to this facility take time. It takes time to get the permits. It takes time to get the work done."
On May 9, the welcome center will hold an open house for anyone interested in the center.
In the meantime, The Salvation Army plans to team up with the Suisun City Fire Department to hold a BBQ during the fire departmentβs Easter Egg Hunt on April 24 at 1 p.m. at Hall Park, right next to the fire station.
The Salvation Army will also set up inflatables and run games at Dan O. Root II Elementary Schoolβs Field day on May 7 at Sam Geopp Park, right next to the school.
"Our intent is to do the very best we can with the citizens of Suisun City and surrounding areas about what we're doing, so we're going to get involved with other events around the community,β Harvey said. "I think the community will see us as a partner."
On May 21, The Salvation Army will hold its βSpring Flingβ BBQ party for the community at 586 E. Wigeon Way, offering food, games, activities and the latest information on the Kroc Center construction.
