Suspect Arrested For Alleged Burglary, Prowling, Identity Theft

The arrested man from Fairfield is 25 years old.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A surveillance camera video led to the arrest of a prowling and burglary suspect Wednesday, Fairfield police said.

Residents in the 2300 block of Josiah Wing Drive in Fairfield were reviewing the surveillance camera video on Saturday when they saw a suspect in the video approach their home and try to open the front door.

The video also showed a charcoal gray Chrysler parked across the street, and previous videos showed the Chrysler driving slowly by their residence several times over the past week, police said.

The Chrysler drove by the residence during a police stakeout Wednesday and police arrested Christopher Britton, 25, of Fairfield, for prowling.

Police had posted photos on Friday of two suspects in a residential burglary in the 1200 block of Breckinridge Drive, and residents provided information that identified Britton as one of the burglary suspects.
