Tired of bathing your dog with a garden hose while you step on the leash hoping that you get more water on your dog than you do on yourself?
At Tidy Tails you have the option of bathing your furry friend yourself in an ergonomic tub with filtered water or letting one of Tidy Tail’s staff members do the dirty work.
Established in 2007, Tidy Tails is a pet grooming facility owned by Bo Kaine who has been in the business for more than six years. Kaine used to work for a friend who owned a pet grooming business and enjoyed her experiences so much that she decided to open her own business, she said.

“I love dogs and I love hearing the owners tell me how beautiful their pet looks when they come to pick them up,” Kaine said. “It’s a fun job because I always get to meet new people and I get to be around dogs and cats all day.”
There are currently six employees working at Tidy Tails, all of whom do pet grooming.

Kathy Imburgio is in her second year at Tidy Nails and absolutely “loves making the animals look pretty,” she said. Both Ronni Ann Mc Cready and Carolyn De Marse are fairly new to Tidy Nails, but enjoy working with Kaine because of her professionalism and ability to bond with the animals. Mc Cready has worked at numerous pet grooming facilities in Suisun and Fairfield and praises Tidy Nails for being one of the cleaner and more knowledgeable establishments, she said.
“I love animals and I grew up with animals because my mom loved having them around,” Mc Cready said. “Taking care of animals is just something that I have always loved to do. There are certain ways to handle dogs and cats when bathing them and I just make sure that I treat them properly and they leave smelling good and feeling good.”
Tidy Nails offers a variety of different services to pamper your pooch and typically depend on the weight of the dog or cat. All full-service grooming includes a bath with whatever shampoo is best, nails are cut & filed, ears are cleaned, and the glands are expiled on request; short-haired breeds are brushed and long-haired dogs are brushed and shaped, according to their website. Pet supplies can also be purchased at the shop.
Ernie Bantay and best-friend Sheeba, a Labrador and German Shepherd mix, are first-time customers to Tidy Tails and found the establishment on the internet. Sheeba usually visits the pet groomers three times a month and was due up for a full-service treatment, Bantay said.
“I’ve heard good things about the place so I researched them on the internet and it looked like a decent place to bring her (Sheeba),” Bantay said. “Sheeba loves when I take her to the groomers so hopefully this will be our new favorite spot.”
Kaine has intentions of opening a dog boarding facility by next year, but plans are not yet finalized, she said.
