The 14th annual "Knoxville Double Century" will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 5:00 a.m. to midnight, though participants will be out of Napa County by 8:00 p.m. The event, a 200+ mile bicycle ride, begins and ends in Vacaville, entering Napa County and looping into Lake County and back before returning to Solano County.Participants will enter Napa County on Gordon Valley Road. Other Napa County roads involved include:· Wooden Valley Crossroad, Wooden Valley Rd, Hwy 121, Atlas Peak Rd, Hardman Ave, Silverado Trail (from Hardman to Yountville Cross Rd), Yountville Cross Rd, Yount Mill Rd, Hwy 29 (from Yount Mill to Oakville Cross Rd) Silverado Trail (from Oakville to Howell Mountain), Howell Mountain Rd, White Cottage Rd, Pope Valley Rd, Pope Valley Crossroad, Pope Canyon Rd and Berryessa Knoxville and Butts Canyon Rd, Chiles Pope Valley Rd and Lower Chiles Valley Rd.Motorists are advised to use caution and to keep a 3 foot distance from the cyclists.Image via Shutterstock.
