Two Arrests In Possible Gang-Related Shooting At Phoenix Drive Apartments
The victim, 23, is critically injured, Fairfield police said.

Fairfield police Thursday said they have arrested two people in connection with a shooting Wednesday that left one man in critical condition.
The shooting was reported just after 4 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Phoenix Drive. Callers reported that one person had been shot, and then driven away in a fleeing vehicle, police said. Police located the car and the victim, a 23-year-old Fairfield man, and called in emergency medical personnel.
The victim was taken to a hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Police have arrested Jaime Ponce Hernandez on suspicion of a parole violation and Leonel Garcia Flores on suspicion of attempted homicide in connection with the investigation so far, with additional arrests and charges expected. Both are thought to be gang members, and the shooting is thought to be gang-related.
