Vallejo Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

Police in Vallejo are investigating a Tuesday fatal crash involving a motorcycle.

Officers responded at 9:11 p.m. to a crash involving a single motorcycle at the intersection of Lake Herman Road and Columbus Parkway.

Police said Curtis Lee Gammon, 29, of Vallejo, was riding his 2008 Suzuki GSXR west on Lake Herman Road with a group of other motorcycles when he struck the center median and crashed.

Gammon was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to police.

Police said speed and reckless driving appear to have played a factor in the crash. Officers are working to determine if alcohol also played a factor in the crash.
