Volunteer at the Fairfield PAL Center!
Help us make a difference afterschool! Adult and high school volunteers needed for teen programs at the Fairfield PAL Center.

Volunteer at PAL and make afterschool matter. Volunteers are needed to:
Tutor Work one on one with middle and high school students. Tuesday-Thursdays between 4pm-7pm. Training and resources provided.
Share Tank Coach Work with local teens to develop an entrepreneurial and problem-solving mindset. Tuesdays at 5:30-7:30pm. Training provided by Venturelab.

Basketball Refs Help make our Friday night Blacktop Basketball Battles fun and a great place for teens to develop their basketball skills! Fridays 7pm-10pm.
Academic Coach Lead interactive GAP Bootcamp workshops to help students prepare for tests, take notes, enhance critical thinking, manage goal setting and improve their study skills. Training and curriculum provide through Breakout EDU, Foundations, and more!

Quad Squad Volunteer on Friday nights and be a part of creating a great way for local teens to recreate and exercise! Check skates and in out, host the prize cart, assist with games, run mini golf, call Bingo, host video game tournaments and more. Skating not required.
There is a short applicant process (including fingerprinting) required to volunteer at the center for anyone 18 years of age and older. All costs are paid for by the PAL program and the process generally takes about 15- 20 minutes per applicant. All volunteers must agree to become mandated reporters, support the Alive & Free framework, and pass a local background check administered by the Fairfield Police Department. All costs are covered by the program and training is provided. For more information or to start the process, please call 707 422 6288.
ABOUT FAIRFIELD PAL
The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis Students enrolled ages 13-18 who are enrolled in school. Memberships are FREE and can be applied for at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call 707.428.7435.
PAL uses traditional recreational programming to create an environment that draws young people to support the development of the social and emotional skills required to promote a positive self-identity and become productive and engaged members of our community. By offering teens programs they are interested in and choices, it becomes possible to slip in pro social skill building and development utilizing youth development practices and techniques.
