• Big Rig Crashes Into Sunol Creek: CHP (patch.com) — A big rig crash along Niles Canyon Road near Sunol sent a truck into Sunol Creek, causing minor injuries and closing SR-84 between Fremont and Main Street in Sunol for about five hours Tuesday afternoon. Crews used a heavy-duty crane to recover the badly damaged cab and flatbed trailer, and traffic fully reopened around 7 p.m.
