1 Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Route 79 in Temecula
One person died Saturday after a motorcycle reportedly went off the roadway on Route 79 in Temecula, officials said.
TEMECULA, CA — One person died in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon off of State Route 79 east of Temecula, according to Cal Fire.
The crash was first reported 2:40 p.m. after a motorcycle went off the roadway and into an embankment near Vail Oak Road, according to preliminary California Highway Patrol Logs.
The rider died at the scene, officials said. The crash was being investigated by CHP.

The road was briefly shut down in both directions following the accident, but had reopened by 3:30 p.m.
