1 Seriously Injured In Temecula Crash At Margarita, Winchester

TEMECULA, CA — A motorist was seriously injured Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash in Temecula that required firefighters to extricate the victim from the wreckage.

The collision was reported at about 3:50 p.m. at the intersection of Margarita and Winchester roads, just east of Interstate 15, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said multiple engine crews were sent to the location and found two victims, one of whom was embedded in the wreck with major injuries.

Firefighters pried open the car using industrial saws and safely removed the motorist, whose identity was not released.

The other driver declined medical attention, officials said.
