TEMECULA, CA — Over the last few months, a couple of restaurants opened in Temecula. Here are three new casual eateries looking to tempt your tastebuds:
Battered Up Food, 40820 Winchester Road (inside the Promenade Temecula mall)
If you love deep-fried fare, Battered Up Food offers choices for you. The menu includes fried mac & cheese, fried Oreos, waffled battered wings, deep-fried pickles and much more.

Not everything is battered. Traditional burgers and fries are staples on the menu, and more health-minded patrons can find lettuce-wrapped burgers, peach BBQ wings and other options.
Battered Up Food is in the mall and it's definitely a fast-food restaurant.

The Crafted Scone, 41413 Margarita Road, K101
The Crafted Scone, which includes an Old Town Murrieta location, is the perfect stop for those who love this sweet hearty baked good. Lemon lavender and almond coconut are a few Crafted Scone faves, and there's more, including daily gluten-free and vegan varieties.
Savory fans will also find "sconewiches" — yes, a scone sandwich like ham, turkey, tuna and others.
Specialty menu items include strawberry shortcake (fresh strawberries, homemade cream, maple syrup and chopped pecans atop a traditional cream scone), or hot honey avocado (artisan country bread, fresh avocado, bacon, chili-infused honey and red chili flakes), to name just a few.

Looking for a fast-casual breakfast spot that has an in-house bakery and juice and smoothie bar?
