Baseball, youth softball, live country music and a Polynesian-inspired celebration offer several ways to enjoy the long holiday weekend.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Labor Day weekend brings baseball, live music and waterfront activities to the Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and Canyon Lake area.

The Lake Elsinore Storm will play its final home series of the regular season, while Canyon Lake’s Maui Sunday returns with Polynesian dancers and family activities. Here are five things happening from Friday through Monday.

1. Watch The Lake Elsinore Storm’s Final Homestand

The Lake Elsinore Storm will close its final regular-season homestand with three Labor Day weekend games against the Inland Empire 66ers.

Friday’s game will feature Omaha the Bat Dog, who retrieves bats for Storm players during the game. Saturday and Sunday will give fans two more opportunities to see the San Diego Padres’ Single-A affiliate at home.

2. Catch The Labor Day Fastpitch Season Opener

Youth softball teams from across Southern California will compete in the Triple Crown Sports Labor Day Season Opener.

The tournament includes divisions for players ages 10 and younger through 18 and younger. Each participating team is guaranteed four games.

Southern California country band Redneck Rodeo will bring its high-energy show to Lake Elsinore Casino on Saturday night.

The year-round market is open to the public and is held in the Canyon Lake Towne Center outside the community’s gated residential area.

5. Celebrate Maui Sunday At Canyon Lake Lodge

Maui Sunday returns to Canyon Lake Lodge with a Polynesian-inspired afternoon overlooking the lake.

Activities will take place on the lodge lawn from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by live entertainment and Polynesian dancers. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Because Canyon Lake is a gated community, nonresidents should confirm guest-access requirements before attending.
