8 Arrested During Southwest Riverside County Probation/Parole Checks

Over 30 probation/parole compliance checks were conducted Thursday in Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula and Wildomar.

SOUTHWEST RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A compliance check Thursday on probationers and parolees in Southwest Riverside County resulted in eight felony arrests, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.

Law enforcement personnel from across the area, including the sheriff's department and the Murrieta Police Department, conducted over 30 probation/parole compliance checks within the cities of Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula, and Wildomar. The operation took place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to the sheriff's department.

A total of eight felony arrests were made "on a variety of charges," the department reported.

Law enforcement also seized three "illegally possessed" semi-automatic rifles, and two semi-automatic pistols, the department continued.

Arrestee names were not provided in Friday's announcement from the sheriff's department.
