TEMECULA, CA — Temecula independent artist Joanna Pearl has earned Official Selections at two film festivals in the same cycle, her publicist announced in a recent news release.
Her work is an Official Selection – The Buddha International Film Festival (2026), and an Official Selection – DigiFest Temecula (2026). The Buddha International Film Festival draws submissions from artists across the globe. The Official Selection marks Pearl's first international film festival recognition.
DigiFest Temecula, a regional festival celebrating independent digital and film content, has previously awarded Pearl three times — for her music videos Sensitive Material, I Am Woman, and Hola Guapa. The Official Selection for Authentically Me adds to her established track record at the festival.

Joanna Pearl discussed what "Authentically Me" means to her.
"We shot this at one of my favorite places in nature because the whole message of Authentically Me is grounding, coming back to yourself," she said of the song. "When you live authentically, when you laugh, when you learn to love who you are, you find magic. We wanted you to feel that. Seeing it recognized at The Buddha International Film Festival in India and at DigiFest Temecula in the same cycle - that tells me the story landed the way it was meant to."
Authentically Me is a track from Pearl's debut album of the same name, according to
The music video was produced independently and submitted to both festivals as part of Pearl's ongoing campaign to bring her original catalog to new audiences.
Pearl is a Recording Academy member, an LA Music Awards winner, and the founder of Make Music Temecula, a nonprofit expanding access to music education across Southwest Riverside County.
