TEMECULA, CA — If you were looking up on Wednesday night at about 8 p.m., you may have caught a beautiful sight in the western sunset sky.
Temecula resident Jamie Fibiger shared this photo of the recent rocket launch taken about 8:30 p.m. "It was very cool to see," according to Fibiger.
The halo lasted over a half hour as Fibiger snapped pictures from GenOaks in Temecula Valley Wine Country.
If you saw it, you witnessed the SpaceX Starlink 17-14 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, which deployed 24 Starlink Satellites into low Earth orbit.
"The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 8:23 p.m., and the first stage successfully landed on the droneship "Of Course I still Love You," about eight minutes later.
