"Participants will walk to honor lives lost to overdose, support families affected by addiction, and help prevent future tragedies through education and community action," local spokesperson Adam Fell tells us.

The event will feature speakers, elected officials, community leaders, prevention advocates, and educational resources focused on overdose awareness and response.

"Leaders from the Inland Empire Opioid Crisis Coalition will be on hand, as will the leadership team from ODRescue," Fell said. This Temecula-based company provides overdose-response solutions, including devices that help communities respond immediately to overdose emergencies and innovative technology that enables citizens and first responders to locate nearby naloxone resources that can rapidly reverse an opioid overdose.

When you go, you'll join local families and community members who are participating in honor of loved ones lost to opioid overdose. The participants are focused on prevention and protecting future generations.

The walk begins promptly at 9 a.m. so be sure to arrive early.
