'Big Brother 28' Temecula Dental Assistant Joins The House This Season

TEMECULA, CA — A Temecula surgical dental assistant is joining the cast of Big Brother Season 28, the CBS/Paramount network announced. The theme for Season 28 is time and time travel, according to the show.

Drew Campbell, 22 of Temecula, is taking up residence in the house Thursday. He describes himself as outgoing, fun, and unpredictable. "This is a game of making friends, but knowing when to get rid of them," he said over Instagram.

He's a recent graduate of Cal State University San Marcos, to which he says he is a "Professional B.S.-er." In reality, he's a longtime "Big Brother" fan, having watched the show since he was 8 years old. "I'm a diehard fan, and I'm ready to put my BB knowledge to the test."

During the show, he promises to share his "awesome hair routine" and that this will be the "Summer of Drew."

He also says, as the show has planned, that he will honor the legends who came before him, such as Josh Martinez.

"I've been a huge fan of Josh since BB19 live, and I'm hoping to follow in his footsteps and win," Campbell wrote on Instagram. "Every time I cry on the main show, I'll donate ($100 if he doesn't win, and $1,000 if he does) to whatever charity Josh Martinez names in the comments."

The “Broveal” on YouTube introduced fans to the 14 Houseguests, including Campbell, who move into the house during the 90-minute premiere Thursday, July 9, launching 8 p.m. PST, on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. Additional surprise Houseguests will be revealed on air, a spokesperson for the show said.

"This season’s cast includes an MMA fighter, rocket scientist, game show host, daughter of an ’80s pop star, and a DRAG RACE All Star, among others," the show said. "This new group of Houseguests is stepping into a summer where nothing is as it seems, where every twist rewrites the rules, and where time becomes the ultimate twist."
