TEMECULA, CA — Firefighters contained a blaze Tuesday morning that damaged a home being used as office space in Temecula Wine Country, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Emergency crews responded at 9:14 a.m. to reports of a residential structure fire in the 37300 block of De Portola Road. First-arriving units reported heavy fire coming from the single-story building and initially requested a second alarm.
Crews quickly made progress attacking the flames, prompting commanders to cancel the second-alarm request. The fire was officially contained at 10:09 a.m.
Officials said the structure was being utilized as an office, and no residents were displaced. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
Firefighters were expected to remain at the scene for several hours Tuesday afternoon to perform salvage operations and mop up remaining hot spots. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
