SAGE, CA — A semi-truck and Subaru collided early Wednesday morning in an injury collision that led to a roadway closure, east of Lake Skinner in the community of Sage.
Shortly before 7:45 a.m., two vehicles collided with significant damage in the area of Sage Road and Red Mountain Road, according to Cal Fire spokesperson Tawny Castro. The crash occurred near the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department Station 28 on Sage Road.
"One person was transported to a nearby hospital by ground ambulance," she said. The California Highway Patrol stated that the injuries in the collision were minor, but the damage to the vehicles was major, requiring tow trucks to clear the disabled vehicles.
The semi-truck required cargo to be offloaded at the scene of the crash, according to CHP dispatchers. The road began to reopen by 10 a.m. No other information was immediately available.
