Temecula Hosting 9/11 Remembrance On 25th Anniversary Of Terrorist Attacks

TEMECULA, CA — The city of Temecula will host a 25th anniversary remembrance ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11, to honor the victims and first responders of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the front steps of Temecula City Hall, located at 41000 Main St.

The evening's program will include remarks from city officials, a video presentation, and a musical performance by the Great Oak High School Jazz Ensemble. Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

Temecula Mayor Jessica Alexander, a former New York City Police Department officer, noted the personal significance of the milestone anniversary.

"September 11th is a day we will never forget, and its significance continues to resonate deeply with those who have served in law enforcement and public safety," Alexander said. "Having served as a New York City police officer, I have a profound respect for the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who ran toward danger to protect others. Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor the lives that were lost, remember the families and communities forever changed, and recognize the extraordinary courage and unity that emerged from that day."

City officials encourage residents of all ages to attend the community gathering.
