TEMECULA, CA — Pechanga Resort Casino invites everyone who has considered a career in culinary, restaurant and beverage service to attend the next Pechanga Culinary Job Fair.
The resort is seeking cooks, stewards, beverage servers, bakers, even head chef and restaurant management positions, all available for the right candidates at Pechanga.
Prospective applicants to a special Food and Beverage Job Fair Thursday, September 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the resort's Grand Ballroom.
Applicants will get to meet one-on-one with hiring managers, receive on-the-spot interviews, and some may even be offered a job right away. The resort casino aims to fill 50 positions.
Culinary and food and beverage job seekers can visit Pechanga.com/careers to see available positions and to stop by in person during the September 17 job fair.

"Ask any of the current Pechanga culinary staff and they will be quick to point out the availability of upward career mobility at Pechanga," a spokesperson for the resort said. "The resort's executive chef started as a kitchen supervisor in the Kelsey's restaurant."
The current executive sous chef started his culinary journey as a busser in the Pechanga employee cafeteria.
Brandon Alcazar, Line Cook at Pechanga Resort Casino, discussed his career at the resort.
"I've been working at Pechanga for around a year now" Alcazar said. "One thing that makes working at Pechanga great is the unlimited number of opportunities to grow as a chef."
Another line cook, Johnny Banasijan, has been with Pechanga for six years.
"I've been working here for six years now," Banasijan said. "I love the sense of community we have here. Pechanga always promotes a sense of family. You can see that in that there are generations of family members working here."
Pechanga Resort Casino Executive Chef, Andre Pinto spoke on the nature of working at Pechanga in the culinary industry.
"If you have a passion for creativity and for food, along with a great attitude, you're likely a great fit for the team," Pinto said. "There's so much room for growth in our culinary department. We would love to meet with you."
And yes, upward mobility is the nature of the business.
Pinto says that as junior members learn and take on more, they get promoted to roles with increasing responsibility within Pechanga Resort Casino.
Food and beverage often has higher turnover than other departments due to the nature of the jobs, the upward mobility and those transferring to different occupations within Pechanga. But the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics shows food and beverage related jobs increasing at a rate of five-percent by 2034. That's faster than the average of all other occupations.
