Temecula Torch Run To Support Special Olympics Returns Sept. 20 (patch.com) β Temecula residents are invited to take part in the 25th annual Temecula Torch Run on Sept. 20, a 7.2-mile route from Pechanga Resort Casino to the Temecula Promenade. The event raises money and awareness for Special Olympics programs serving people with intellectual disabilities in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, and motorists are urged to drive carefully along the course.

Temecula Event Teaches Businesses How To Become Vendors (patch.com) β Temecula businesses have a chance on Sept. 29 to learn exactly how to become registered vendors with the city and connect with government buyers. A free workshop at the Temecula Valley Entrepreneurs Exchange will walk attendees through procurement, bid opportunities, and networking tips, with support from the Small Business Development Center for Contracting.

Temecula Woman Suspected Of Fraud, Identity Theft, Held On $300K Bail (patch.com) β Law enforcement recently arrested a Temecula woman at her home on suspicion of large-scale fraud and identity theft, with bail set at $300,000. Investigators say they recovered hundreds of items tied to forged documents, stolen credit cards and passports, and property linked to victims across several Southern California counties and Arizona.

Temecula Valley Historical Society announcement for Sept. 21 program (myvalleynews.com) β Temecula residents can catch an aviation-focused talk at the Little Temecula History Museum on Sept. 21, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the program at 6. Speaker Jon Goldenbaum will highlight Flabob Airport's work with at-risk teens and share a video of a 2019 D-Day landing reenactment, also streamed on the Historical Society's Facebook page.
