TEMECULA — Firefighters quickly knocked down a garage fire that spread to a nearby home and surrounding brush in Temecula on Sunday morning, authorities said.
The blaze was reported at 11:08 a.m. in the 36000 block of Indian Knoll Road, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Arriving crews found a garage fully engulfed in flames, with the fire extending into the primary residence and nearby vegetation. Firefighters stopped the brush spread at a 100-foot-by-100-foot spot and brought the structure fire under control.
Crews remained on the scene for two to three hours for salvage, overhaul and mop-up operations.
