TEMECULA, CA — The City of Temecula Rocktober battle of the bands took the stage Saturday and struck a chord with fans at the annual competition.
The winners were announced this week, including:
First-place winner Black Star, who will receive a full-day professional recording session.
Second-place winners, Jaxon Thunder, will receive a brand-new sound amplifier.
Third-place winner Tie Breakers will receive a "Rock On!" prize basket.
"Thank you, guys, for having us!" Black Star Band told the city in an Instagram post. They are also seeking any locals who want to host them for Halloween gigs in the Temecula or Murrieta area.
"We want to give a big shoutout to every band who competed and everyone who came out to support Temecula's next generation of musicians," a city community services spokesperson said. "Thanks for making this year's Rocktober one to remember."
