With the temperature staying in the high 90's and low 100's and predicted to remain hot over the next few days, it's no wonder people don't believe summer's coming to an end. Instead of being miserable in the heat and letting it get to us, let's enjoy the next couple of days and let summer go out with a bang!
Here are some great items we have in the shop that will help you bid adieu to the hot days and enjoy those last few days of summer!
1. Savory Hogs Heaven BBQ Sauces (Apple Chipotle, Apricot Jalapeno, Smokehouse, and Smokehouse Heat)
2. Crisp Almond Water (Sweet, Coconut, Licorice Mint)
3. Refreshing Neo Water to help hydrate
4. Scrumptious Snackin' Free Dressings (Greek, Garlic, Garlic Cilantro, Ranch, Teriyaki)
5. Uncomparable Bitchin' Sauce (Original, Chipotle)

As a Artisan's Palate in house Foodie, I get the luxury of tasting many of the items we bring into the shop. One of the first items that blew my mind was the Apricot Jalapeno BBQ Sauce by Hogs Heaven; a sauce that is perfect for shrimp, fish, chicken and veggies.
Since I just moved out of my family's home, I've been able to be a lot more experimental in the kitchen; which can be good or bad. Good because some of these concoctions are delicious surprises to my taste buds but bad because the mess I've been making has been detrimental to my happy go lucky attitude.
So I decided to buy the Apricot Jalapeno BBQ Sauce and get a taste of summer. Now I don't have much of a grill, well I don't have one at all to be honest, but that doesn't mean I can't use this sauce. The sweet tangy heat would be a perfect compliment for some fresh shrimp! I ended up soaking the shrimp in the sauce for about an hour before I actually started cooking. I figured this would enhance the taste a bit. Since I'm without a grill, or grill pan for that matter, I decided to sear/saute the sweet shrimpy goodness.
The aroma from the kitchen filled the apartment, and you could taste the 'summer' in the air. It was almost as if I knew what I was doing. Every bite woke up my mouth with excitement. If I had nothing to eat for the rest of summer, I'd be ok because I had a little bit of Hogs Heaven.
