Annual 'Special Games' Returns To Temecula
Attention Superheroes: This is your chance to have some fun and be your very best!

TEMECULA, CA - From the City of Temecula: Attention Superheroes: This is your chance to have some fun and be your very best! The City of Temecula and the Temecula Valley Unified School District are proud to present the 11th Annual Temecula Special Games on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm at Great Oak High School (32555 Deer Hollow Way). This event is free to athletes of all ages with developmental disabilities.
The purpose of these Special Games is to provide individuals of all ages the opportunity to enjoy the fun of playing sports and activities, the benefit of teamwork, and the achievement of making a goal.
“Temecula’s Special Games athletes and peer buddy volunteers create ‘Dynamic Duos’ allowing parents and family members the chance to cheer and support these Superheroes every year
since 2008. This inclusive, family-friendly event is full of hope, empowerment, and inspiration,” says Mayor Mike Naggar.

Each athlete is paired with a high school volunteer to serve as their buddy throughout the event. Each athlete receives a medal and each volunteer buddy will receive community service hours. To participate as an athlete or as a buddy, please visit TemeculaCA.gov/SpecialGames.
