Another 81 Lots In Sommers Bend Community Approved For New Homes

​The approved 12.2-acre development area is to the east of Butterfield Stage Road, off Sommers Bend, on the northeast end of Temecula.

TEMECULA, CA — Another 81 single-family homes are being built in the Sommers Bend community on the northeast end of Temecula.

During the March 16 Temecula Planning Commission meeting, the commissioners voted 4-0 to approve plans for the 81 lots featuring three different detached single-family home plans with four architectural styles. Commissioner John H. Telesio was absent.

The four architectural styles include American farmhouse, craftsman, Monterey, and prairie.

The approved 12.2-acre development area is to the east of Butterfield Stage Road, off Sommers Bend. The 81 lots will have a minimum size of 3,600 square feet and will feature two-story homes ranging in size from 1,837 to 2,442 square feet, according to city staff.

Woodside Homes is the project applicant.
