Auction to Benefit Rancho Christian’s Athletic Complex
The 60,000-square-foot facility will include two fields, two gyms, a coffee shop, a tutoring room and classrooms.

The “Journey Begins” auction is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday at Rancho Community Church. Tickets are $40, and dinner will be provided by Outback Steakhouse, the church announced.
The 60,000-square-foot “Youth Activity Center” will sit at the west end of the campus and will include two athletic fields and a building with two gymnasiums, a café and coffee shop, tutoring and activity rooms and school classrooms, said Alex McLean, a spokesperson for the church.

More than 600 students, faculty, parents and staff gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony on May 18, McLean said in an emailed announcement.
Each class – from kindergarten to high school – walked past the site and shoveled some of the first dirt to move on the project, McLean said.
