Back To School: 2026-27 Temecula Valley Unified School District Calendar

TEMECULA, CA — Summer is winding down for Temecula Valley Unified School District families, with students slated to return to class for the 2026-27 school year on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

The first day of school is listed as a modified day for many TVUSD students.

Here are key dates and bell times families should knowbefore the new school year begins.

First Day Of School

The first day of school for Temecula Valley Unified students is Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026.

TVUSD Bell Times

According to the district’s bell schedule information, regular school-day times are generally listed as:

Elementary schools: 8:50 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Middle schools: 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

High schools: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Modified day schedules are generally listed as:

Elementary schools: 8:50 a.m. to 12:55 p.m.

Middle schools: 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

High schools: 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Families should confirm bell times with their individual school, especially for TK, kindergarten, alternative schools, charter programs and special schedules.

Graduation dates for individual high schools are typically announced by each campus closer to the end of the school year. Families should check with Chaparral High School, Great Oak High School, Temecula Valley High School or their student’s campus for commencement details.

Other Back-To-School Reminders

TVUSD families are encouraged to complete the district’s Annual Family Update through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal before the school year begins, according to the TVUSD website. The district says returning students who do not have a completed Annual Family Update may not receive a class schedule or may experience enrollment delays.

School Lunches

Breakfast and lunch will be available free to all students during the 2026-27 school year.
