Border Patrol Agents Make Heroin Bust Near Temecula
Agents found the hidden heroin during a stop along Interstate 15.

TEMECULA, CA — Two men were arrested this week by border patrols agents on suspicion of hauling heroin on Interstate 15 near Temecula.
At approximately 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, agents pulled over a 2014 Nissan Sentra on the 15 freeway at state Route 76 and did a vehicle search with a border patrol K-9 team, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release.
During the search, agents found five bundles of heroin hidden under the gear shifter in the center console. The illicit narcotics weighed 11.68 pounds with an estimated street value of $121,900, according to U.S. CBP.

The 29-year-old driver and his 25-year-old passenger were arrested. Both men are U.S. citizens, according to U.S. CBP.
