TEMECULA, CA — Paradise Chevrolet Cadillac owner and president Terry Gilmore was recently presented with a high honor in connection with his support of local youth.

During the 30th Annual “Our Kids Rock” Gala hosted on Oct. 15 by the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County at Pechanga Resort & Casino, it was announced that the organization will be renovating and reopening the original Temecula Clubhouse at 28790 Pujol Street and naming it after Gilmore.

To be dubbed "The Terry Gilmore Clubhouse," Gilmore told gala attendees, "The dedication of this building in my name will hopefully inspire many others to carry on the legacy of this great organization that I love."

Gilmore has been involved with the nonprofit for "most of the organization’s existence and continues to be one of the most supportive," according to Tony Berardino, Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County board chair.

Gilmore was also recognized alongside four others during the Oct. 15 event as a founder of the Our Kids Rock event: Michael Donaldson, Ron Parks, Timmy Daniels and Leigh Nixon (then Engdahl). In 1993, Gilmore founded The Great Temecula Auction — now known as Our Kids Rock Gala. The gala now brings in the most revenue of all the organization's special events, according to the Boys & Girls Club.
