Brush Fire Scorches 3 Acres Near Temecula: Cal Fire

AGUANGA, CA — Fire crews slowed the spread of a brush fire that erupted Friday afternoon in the unincorporated community of Aguanga after it charred nearly three acres, fire officials said.
The fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. near Sharp Road and Valley Drive, just south of Highway 371, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said multiple engine and hand crews were sent to the location, preceded by three Cal Fire air tankers and two water-dropping helicopters, which initiated runs on the slow-moving brusher shortly before 3 p.m.
