DNA Interest Group: Shared DNA Matches Methodology with Kathy Fernandes
Temecula Valley Genealogical Society Hosts a Presentation about Shared DNA Matches
One DNA test is good–and multiple DNA tests are better! The insights you gain from multiple tests are as valuable as the insights you gain from multiple documents in genealogy research. But how? You want to be strategic about who you invite to take a DNA test, and how you’re going to use the results. Learn about the kinds of questions you can explore, and how to create a DNA research plan that combines DNA tests and from multiple people–and multiple test types, including autosomal, YDNA and mtDNA. Consider best practices for inviting others to take a DNA test. A basic understanding about autosomal DNA testing is recommended before attending this session. Attend in person at Ron H. Roberts Temecula Public Library 30600 Pauba Rd. Temecula, CA 92592, or attend on Zoom. To attend via Zoom, request a Zoom link from tvgswebmaster@gmail.com. More info at tvgs.net.
