Candlelight Vigil For Ukraine Planned At Temecula Duck Pond
The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Saturday.
TEMECULA, CA — A candlelight vigil to show support for Ukraine is planned this weekend at Temecula Duck Pond.
Organizers from Murrieta's United Church of the Valley said they hope the "lights in the darkness" will show support for the people who have fled Ukraine, those who remain, as well as the "brave dissidents of Russia."
The lighting of the candles will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, according to church moderator Sherian Spencer.

"Let our candles be the light of hope and our sunflowers be a symbol of our prayers," she said. "You do not need to be a member of the congregation to attend. All are welcome."
