'Celebrate Culture Every Second Saturday' In Temecula

City officials say to expect entertainment, food, crafts, and activities at the Temecula Valley Museum.

From The City of Temecula:Temecula’s Community Services Department and the Temecula Valley Museum present a new monthly program, Second Saturday, to commemorate the history and heritage of the various and diverse cultures making Temecula home.

Honoring the City’s motto Old Traditions, New Opportunities, the Museum created this program to share a full history of the people of the Temecula Valley, one that embraces diversity and celebrates contemporary life in Temecula. Each month will celebrate various cultures with food, music, activities, and art. Local artist Tony Moramarco will offer art classes relating to the monthly theme(s), and there will be music, food, and fun.

This new program launches Saturday, February 9, 2019 to celebrate Chinese New Year at the Temecula Valley Museum (28314 Mercedes Street) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please join in on the fun and enjoy tastes of Chinese food, make your own Chinese lantern, and take a photo with our special Chinese New Year photo wall. There will be a traditional Lion dance in front of the museum in Sam Hicks Monument Park at 11:30 am. Do not miss this exciting performance! Temecula’s Museum acknowledges the inextricable link between art, culture, history, and community by enhancing the current offerings and expanding the scope of what can be experienced. Mark your calendars to join us the Second Saturday of every month for culture, entertainment, crafts, food, and fun!
