'Dear Class Of 2020' Stirs Positivity Amid Coronavirus: Temecula

The video from Great Oak High School senior Zoé Medranda reminds the class of 2020 that life will go on.

TEMECULA, CA — A Great Oak High School senior who competed in track and field is paying homage to her peers via a sweet video she shared Monday on YouTube titled, "Dear Class Of 2020."

The Wolfpack's Zoé Medranda created the piece in recognition that she and her fellow classmates/athletes are having an extraordinary senior year. Wrapping up their high school careers from home, many may not see each other again due to shutdowns over coronavirus concerns.

It's not clear if/when graduation ceremonies will take place. Even if they do, some students will have already moved on to college, jobs, new experiences.

Medranda is isn't hiding her emotions, nor her positivity. The athlete shares with her classmates via the video, "Yes, senior year didn't go our way. Not everything in life will. ... You have to believe there are brighter days ahead.

"So pick yourself up. Charge the mountain," she continues. "And remember to be thankful. ... Everything happens for a reason. Love Zoé. A senior from the class of 2020."
