'Donny & Marie' Coming To Temecula This Summer

The iconic duo, who have been performing together since the mid-1970s, when their ABC variety show was one of the highest rated shows on television, brings their high-energy showmanship, humor and dynamism to the stage.

Timeless classics such as Donny’s teen-heartthrob ode “Puppy Love” and Marie’s country standard “Paper Roses” are interspersed with high-octane duets such as “Get the Party Started”, “Dancing in the Streets” and “Vegas Love” – a new offering from their latest album and the first they recorded together in 30 years.

Of course, even with Donny and Marie showcasing their solo careers, they haven’t forgotten the classics that have entertained two generations of fans, such as “A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock ‘n Roll” and “It Takes Two”.

Naturally, there is plenty of dancing; after all, Donny is a “Dancing With The Stars” champion. But Marie shows she can more than keep up with her brother throughout. One of the highlights of their successful 10-year show at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas is Marie showing her moves during a mash-up of “Walk This Way” and “These Boots Were Made For Walking” with male dancers doing their best to keep up.

Their show at the Flamingo was named Best Show by the Las Vegas Review Journal for three consecutive years. Not to be outdone in the superlatives department, Entertainment Weekly called Donny and Marie’s performances “Insanely Entertaining. …”

The entertainment not only takes audiences on a trip back to a time when teen heartthrobs and network variety shows ruled popular culture, but brings everything full circle with jaw-dropping production numbers, modern touches and the pair’s personable and accessible presence.
