DUI Checkpoint in Riverside County Tonight

The checkpoint will be staffed for 6 hours.

Sheriff’s deputies will conduct a sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint in La Quinta tonight.

Deputies will staff the checkpoint at an undisclosed location, beginning at 8 p.m. and continuing until Sunday at 3 a.m.

They will check for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment and for proper licensing, sheriff’s Deputy Pierre Palmer said.

The checkpoint is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
