Earthquake Shakes East Of Temecula

The quake was reported Wednesday afternoon. Did YOU feel it?

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A magnitude 3.1 earthquake shook the Riverside County area Wednesday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reports. The quake was recorded at 4:30 p.m. near Aguanga.

The temblor was centered approximately:

  • 5 miles NE of Aguanga
  • 8.7 miles WSW of Anza
  • 10.6 miles NNE of Palomar Observatory
  • 17.4 miles SSW of Idyllwild
  • 27.3 miles SW of Palm Springs

Residents in Anza, Hemet, Idyllwild, Menifee, San Jacinto and Temecula reported feeling the quake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
