
ANZA, CA — Riverside County was rocked by a small earthquake late Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey reports. The temblor was recorded at a magnitude of 3.0 and was centered approximately 13 miles east-southeast of Anza in the southern part of the county with weak shaking and no damage reported, authorities said Tuesday.
The earthquake struck at 11:34 p.m. Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. It was located:
- 13.0 mi ESE of Anza
- 15.5 mi SW of La Quinta
- 16.2 mi NNW of Borrego Springs
- 16.2 mi NE of Warner Springs
- 24.2 mi S of Palm Springs
There were 17 reports to the "Did You Feel It?" feature on the USGS website. Most were in the desert areas where the shaking was weak. Weak shaking was also felt in Escondido.
