Calligraphy Workshop

Since cursive writing is no longer taught in school, our everyday decorative writing skills have become a thing of the past.  Against our modern times, the tools of the calligraphy trade have changed very little since the beginning of time.  In conjunction with our “Tools of the Trade” exhibit, join us for a Gothic Calligraphy Workshop presented by internationally renowned calligrapher Risa Gettler.

The Gothic style of calligraphy is a historic and versatile lettering style which is strong and rhythmic.  Best of all using pre-lined paper and a simple writing tool it can be learned quickly.  Before this workshop is over you will be writing letters, words and sentences with amazing ease.
