TEMECULA, CA — A 19-year-old man was taken into custody Saturday following a long standoff with deputies at his home in Temecula.
Jacob Calitis was arrested shortly after 11:30 a.m. in the 27000 block of Campana Circle after he allegedly threatened family members while armed with a gun.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Calitis barricaded himself in the residence, prompting a standoff with deputies and crisis negotiators.

He peacefully surrendered after "lengthy negotiations," the sheriff's department reported.
Family members were unharmed.

Jail records show Calitis was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of making terrorism threats, assault with a deadly weapon and other felony weapons violations.
He is due in court Wednesday, the jail records show.
