Fatal Crash Reported On Pala Temecula Road
Crews remained on scene for more than two hours.
TEMECULA, CA — A fatal traffic crash was reported Tuesday on Pala Temecula Road near the county line, and forced the roadway's shutdown.
According to preliminary reports from the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle slammed into a tree shortly before 5 p.m. and caught fire. Lanes were blocked on the roadway and closed for an extended period, the CHP reported at 5:34 p.m.
It's unknown how many victims were in the vehicle that was reported as a white SUV, but the CHP reported the driver and two passengers were transported to local hospitals.

The roadway was reopened at 7:30 p.m., according to the CHP.
