Female Victims Assaulted On Temecula Run/Bike Trail

TEMECULA, CA — Two alleged assaults of females on Santa Gertrudis Creek Trail in Temecula were recently reported, and the sheriff's department has released a description of a potential suspect.

The latest incident was reported Thursday around 10:30 a.m. on the bike/jogging path that runs underneath Winchester Road. A female, whose age was not released, said she was sexually assaulted by a 17- to 24-year-old male suspect of unknown race. The assailant had a medium complexion, medium height, thin build, and was riding a beach cruiser type bicycle, the sheriff's department said.

It was not the first attack reported in the area. On June 14, a female, whose age was not released, was assaulted and her cell phone stolen, the department said.
