On the Fence About Going Solar?

The Solar Education Series Will Help You Get Off the Fence

You've been thinking about it. You know it's something that makes sense, you know it will help the environment, you even know that you will indeed save money. But, for some reason, you still seem to be on the fence about going solar. You've heard the phrase, "There's no time like the present." Well, in this case it couldn't be more true. Here is our number one reason why you should go solar now.

Save the Most Now with Net Metering 1.0

As you may know, net metering is a program that allows solar customers to sell their excess clean electricity into the grid in exchange for credits. During the day, they feed solar energy into the power network. At night, they buy back the electricity they need from the grid. And at the end of each billing cycle, these customers areonly responsible for the "net" difference in electricity bought and sold.

Even more enticing with Net Metering 1.0, enrollment is free and there are no application fees. There are no mandatory time-of-use rate plans, and you are grandfathered into the program for 20 years - even if net metering changes in the future.

Unfortunately Net Metering 1.0 will soon become Net Metering 2.0. This change will add a few extra costs to the homeowner who waits to go solar.

As the deadline approaches, homeowners throughout Southern California will be scrambling to get their solar power systems online in time. So unless you start the process very soon, you may be left out because of backlogs and delays.

For anyone on the fence about going solar, you should consider attending The Solar Education Series this Saturday, March 18th. The event takes place at Temecula City Hall from 11am until 12:00 pm. The solar rules really are changing in a matter of months and a Certified Energy Practicioner will be on hand giving you the information you need to make an educated decision.
