Fire Erupts in Temecula Restaurant

A fire agency spokeswoman said three engine crews and a truck company, numbering 14 personnel, responded to the scene.

TEMECULA, CA- A grease-fed fire damaged kitchenware in a Temecula restaurant Thursday but was knocked down before it could spread.

The non-injury blaze was reported at 10 a.m. in Mo’s Egg House, 27405 Jefferson Ave., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

An agency spokeswoman said three engine crews and a truck company, numbering 14 personnel, encountered the remnants of the fire in the eatery’s grease trap.

The flames were summarily extinguished.

County Department of Environmental Health officials were summoned to investigate the blaze and determine whether there were any lingering hazards that might pose a safety threat.
