Former Pat & Oscar's Executive Leaves for Mexican Restaurant

A Temecula resident and former executive for left for a San Diego taco shop chain.

George Hunter, former chief operating officer for the small chain that recently went into bankruptcy, is now vice president of operations for Roberto's Mexican Food, a San Diego-based taco shop chain, according to Aimee Cebulski, a spokesperson for the company.

Financial problems with the company recently caused the temporary shut-down of the Temecula location overlooking the Duck Pond. To read about what happened,

"Hunter, a restaurant industry veteran, will be responsible for all aspects of business operations for the multi-unit operator and report directly to company owners, which are the children of original founders Roberto and Dolores Robledo," Cebulski said in an emailed announcement.

Hunter was happy about the move. “I couldn’t be more pleased to join a company so committed to taking care of their people, their guests and their vendors...it’s no wonder why they have been so successful for over 40 years in San Diego, Hunter said via email.
