Free College Fair Slated for Mall

Colleges and universities come to Temecula for an informative event for students.

More than 150 colleges are expected to gather for a free, city-sponsored college fair.

The event is scheduled for 10am-2pm Saturday at the Promenade mall.

Local students will have a chance to chat up admissions representatives and learn about the options available to them after high school, TVUSD spokesperson Melanie Norton wrote in an announcement.

The college fair, which began in 2009, was a direct outcome of the goals and objectives of the City of Temecula’s Youth Master Plan, a comprehensive stragtegic guide that aims to identify and address the needs and goals of local young people, Norton stated.

The fair has grown by leaps and bounds during the last three years and attracts a bounty of colleges and about 5,000 student attendees.
