Full Closure Of Westbound 91 Freeway Begins Tonight: RivCo To OC
Alternate routes will be available.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Motorists are being reminded that all westbound 91 Freeway lanes will close beginning Friday night between state Route 71 in Corona and the 241 Toll Road in Anaheim Hills.
The full closure will last from 11 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Saturday to allow crews to install an overhead sign across the lanes — one of the last pieces of the Riverside County Transportation Commission 91 Corridor Operations Project.
To support the closure, the westbound 91 Express Lanes in Riverside and Orange counties, the westbound Green River Road on-ramp and off-ramp, the southbound 71/westbound 91 connector, and the northbound 15/westbound 91 Express Lanes connector will be closed starting as early as 8 p.m. Friday.

Alternate routes will be available: Motorists can head north on the 71, west on the 60, and south on the 57 to access westbound 91 in Orange County. The detour map is available at rctc.org/91COPDetour.
The RCTC began construction of the 91 Corridor Operations Project in November 2020 to add a new lane on westbound 91 between the Green River Road on-ramp and the 241 Toll Road. The 2-mile long, non-tolled lane is designed to help relieve traffic congestion, especially during heavy morning commute hours, according to the RCTC.
