Temecula Golden Grizzlies Head to National Championships in Florida
Temecula, CA-November 24, 2013—
On Saturday afternoon, Temecula Valley’s Pop Warner Jr. Midget team, the Golden Grizzlies, won the Wescon Regional Championship against the undefeated Canyon Hills Falcons and will now head to the National Championships in Florida in early December.
The two-time repeat Palomar Conference Champions showed the determination, athleticism, and passion necessary to win a battle of the wills with a 8-6 win against the Canyon Hills Falcons. The Temecula Golden Grizzlies are now one of the top eight football teams in the nation at the Pop Warner Jr. Midget level. They are the first and only Temecula team in 18 years to make it to the National Championships and the only Southern California team to make it to Florida for the 2013 football season.
The Golden Grizzlies need the greater community to recognize this great effort and support them through both small and large donations. The estimated cost of the trip for the team is over $45,000.
